OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

For an electric stove doesn’t turn on, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas models. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, it means a different part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner with no produce heat won’t do much good. An oven does not heat if there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner doesn’t fire up if an element breaks or when the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to repair these issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER PROBLEMS

It’s safe to assume the control panel on an oven is broken if the program or timer settings don’t work. In this case, we are able to replace control boards for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer parts we install for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. But not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it might be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen can identify the location of the issue and then repair it. Be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine if we are able to fix these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door issues. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to find out why the door does not open and then we complete the repair so we can fix the problem.
